Hi everyone and welcome to Tank’s Top K9s! For those of you don’t know I am Kaitlyn, the proud owner and founder. I was born and raised in Northern Wisconsin in a little town called Eagle River. My fiancé and I moved to Madison when I was 18, and have now been in Lodi for almost 4 years with our two beautiful children and all of our four legged kids!
My ride or die, and the face behind my logo, is Jaeger. He came into my life when I was 15, and at the time, I could’ve never imagined the impact he was going to have on my life. He showed me just how much one dog can change your life forever. With him being a pitbull, we’ve definitely faced our share of judgment from others based on the way he looks. That was one of the many things that sparked my passion for helping misunderstood or falsely labeled dogs simply because of their breed or appearance. He has been my rock through every dark time in my life and the brightest light at the end of every tunnel. My love for him is what started this crazy obsession with dogs that has now become my life, and it’s what sparked my interest in the dog daycare and boarding industry.
After 6 years of working in that part of the industry, I decided I was ready to switch gears. I wanted to help people help their dogs, help misunderstood and stigmatized dogs, and overall, help people live the best life possible with their four legged family members. So I did just that!
I started schooling to get my certification, and during that time I also interned at Focused Dog Training. This internship helped me get hands-on experience with hundreds of different dogs, while also learning from and observing multiple different trainers. I went on to become a lead trainer, where I worked for almost 4 years. In 2025, I decided it was time to take the leap and go out on my own, and that’s where Tank‘s Top K9s began! My biggest passion is working with misunderstood, aggressive/reactive dogs and rehabilitating them so they can live their best life.
In just a little over a year, the business has grown in ways I never expected. I am so thankful for everyone who has trusted me with their dogs and those who continue to do so.
None of this would be possible without all of you, and I’m so excited to continue watching Tank’s Top K9s pack grow!!
